Plum Village Retreat: “wellness through peaceful body and mind”

Healing retreat: “Wellness through peaceful body and mind” led by Plum Village’s Sr Insight

This is the FIRST ever retreat led by Plum Village Monastics in Northern Ireland.

Two Plum Village Monastics Sister Tue Nghiem (Sr Insight) and Sr. Nguyet Nghiem (Sr Moon) will visit Northern Ireland in the Spring. Plum Village is the mindfulness practice centre/Buddhist monastery founded by Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. (www.plumvillage.org)

Sister Insight is a Senior Dharma Teacher within the Plum Village Mindfulness tradition. Sister Insight ordained as a nun 22 years ago and lives her daily life practising mindfulness and leading mindfulness retreats around the world. The weekend will focus on how we can establish wellness by living peacefully. This will be a full immersion weekend with a wonderful opportunity to indulge ourselves in various mindfulness practices for creating ease in both body and mind, expertly led by the two Sisters.

The venue is the beautiful and modern ‘Davey Village’ at Corrymela, Ballycastle on the stunning North Antrim Coast. We will have the opportunity to do outdoor walking meditation on the nearby beach!

All meals and refreshments from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon are included. In line with the tradition of Plum Village all meals will be vegan.

Corrymeela is an open Christian community whose members, individually and together, are committed to embracing difference healing divisions and enabling reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the world. The Corrymeela Centre is an alcohol and drug-free environment. www.corrymeela.org
