Goddess Workshop! The Healing power of pleasure with New York’s Katrin Habia

The Healing Power of Pleasure

Could truly taking in and ENJOYING the simple pleasures of life be the key to vibrant health and sustainable happiness? Sound almost too good to be true – but more and more evidence is popping up that mindful experience of pleasure is indeed a most healthy prescription:)

Come spend an enriching afternoon in the lovely, relaxing gardens of Blossoms at Larne Lough and explore simple, fun ways to add more pleasure to your day-to-day life.

Local mindfulness teacher Bridgeen Rea will share mindfulness tips on how to nourish yourself with the beauty available in every moment. The garden setting is the perfect place to play and practice with these simple yet life-changing tools.

New Yorker (in town for one week only) Katrin Haiba will provide each of you FREE a personal pleasure prescription (plse enter your birth details on booking) based on the astrological archetypes of Venus and the Moon at the time of your birth. There will be sparks of laughter and recognition – you will gain a glimpse into your unique desires and inclinations from your Venus and learn how to keep your heart happy by befriending your Moon.

Together we will create a beautiful day of Heaven on Earth, planting seeds of happiness that will continue to nourish us for years to come.

Katrin’s Bio

Orginally from Estonia, Katrin Haiba has lived in New York for over 20 years. Married to native to New York Matthew, she is an astrologer, energy healer, surfer and captain of the sailboat Lila. She sees life as an ever-expanding journey, with playful possibilities and creative connections at every turn. Cosmic curiosity has led her to learn meditation while crossing the Atlantic on a tiny sailboat and host adventure-retreats in the mountains of Mexico. Her latest creation is cosmicwaveastrology.com (“your guide to surfing the universe”:), where she writes fun and empowering monthly horoscopes and articles on the current cosmic weather.

Katrin says: “I see astrology as the ART of living according to the cycles of nature. When we let the Cosmic Waves carry us, life starts to FLOW, we feel supported by the whole wide Universe. It’s deeply healing and empowering to realize we are “in synch” with the unfolding of the larger story of Life. It’s also incredibly practical – knowing where to focus our time and energy saves us from needless stress and useless “running around” 🙂

Refreshment break with pleasurable treats included!

Sailing through change – navigating life with the ancient art of Astrology

Sailing through seasons of change – navigating life with the ancient art of Astrology

-with New York’s Katrin Habia… in town for one week only…

Astrology is the ART of living according to the cycles of nature.  The phases of the Moon, movements of the planets and stars – the ancients used these celestial cycles to track the seasonal changes here on Earth.  Even with the manic pace of our modern lives, we can still gain a lot of practical wisdom from this deeply rooted tradition of seeing the interconnection of Heavens and Earth – “as above, so below”.

We are in a shift of seasons: summer is starting to give way to autumn.  There are larger cycles of change at work as well: both Jupiter, the planet of abundance and luck, and Saturn, the stellar signpost of steady effort are changing signs.

September brings us the Eclipse season- New Moon Solar Eclipse on Sept 13th, followed by the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on Sept 27th.   Eclipses signal sudden shifts – a bright new doorway opens with a Solar Eclipse, and an old way of life ends with a Lunar Eclipse.  You will receive clear and practical guidance on how to navigate these fast flowing waters – where to focus your energy for maximum growth in the areas of love, work, travel and inner adventures.   You will also get to EXPERIENCE these cosmic currents as Katrin takes you on a guided journey through the Sky-Map of 2015.  You will emerge energized, empowered and ready to embark on the adventure of your life.

August Mindful Self Compassion Workshop @ Maitri

Kind and compassionate practices to reflect and benefit from all month.
Mindful self-compassion is the foundation of emotional healing—being aware in the present moment when we’re struggling with feelings of inadequacy, despair, confusion, and other forms of stress (mindfulness) and responding with kindness and understanding (self-compassion). Mindful self-compassion also means holding difficult emotions—fear, anger, sadness, shame and self-doubt—and ourselves, in loving awareness, leading to greater ease and well-being in our daily lives.
Mindful self-compassion can be learned by anyone. It’s the practice of repeatedly evoking good will toward ourselves especially when we’re suffering—cultivating the same desire that all living beings have to live happily and free from suffering. And as the Dalai Lama says, self-compassion is the first step toward compassion for others.
The workshop is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced practitioners 🙂
Tickets are non-refundable or transferable. Thank you.

Special Mindfulness Retreat: ‘the art of nourishment’ led by Bridgeen, Bronagh & Celia

“The art of nourishment”  special mindfulness retreat facilitated by Mindfulness Teacher, Bridgeen Rea and local Artist Bronagh Lawson @ the Narrows, Portaferry with delicious food prepared by Celia Spoucer

We will aim to nourish your mind, body and spirt. This will be a weekend to really relax, restore and renew yourself with gentle, guided mindfulness practice, nourishing food (with time to savour and taste it) and the added bonus of an opportunity to get creative under the expert guidance of an experienced artist facilitator.  You may be an artist yourself or just interested in starting a creative hobby.  This weekend will cater for all.

Everything will be provided to ensure you have space to be, breath and create.  This is a unique and special opportunity! Don’t miss it! 🙂

Artist Bronagh Lawson is founder of www.creativechangeni.com. Originally from Portaferry and Strangford she believes that each person has a creative self, capable of artistic expression – if only it was encouraged and nurtured. Bronagh has a huge range of skill areas from textiles, photography, jewellery, painting,  printmaking and drawing. During the retreat she will help facilitate your own artistic expression using a variety of materials drawing from the beautiful surroundings of Strangford lough as inspiration.

Suitable for all levels of experience the retreat art sessions  will consist of group and individual work finishing in a temporary pop up  exhibition in the Narrows of Art produced over the weekend.  (See your work exhibited!)

There will be an opportunity to have some one-to-one feedback time if you have a portfolio of art work or are working on an existing art  project and would like some feedback. However, this is not a requirement.

Bronagh was trained in Bristol, Winchester school of Art and Parsons School of Art New York. She spent 13 years developing and running cross-community cross-border creative projects before returning to her artistic practice. She is now based in Belfast.

Bridgeen Rea is a qualified and experienced mindfulness teacher skilled in guiding new and old mindfulness practioners in the art of slowing down and saving every moment. Your new or renewed taste of the wonder of mindfulness will enhance and enrich your creative experience, hopefully providing inspiration for your art work.

Celia is head of the slow food movement in Ireland and owner of the Narrows in Portaferry…..
