Mindfulness Workshop for Nepal at Namaste

This is a special mindfulness workshop with 100% of the proceeds going to fund the relief effort in Nepal. Jennifer and Keshav (who is from Nepal) have been raising money to help support the people in his home country and i want to help them do this.
So come along for 2 hours of peaceful practice for a great cause.

Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) is a cognitive and behavioral therapy program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, which uses a combination of mindfulness meditation, body awareness, and yoga (though I teach more mindful movement than yoga) to help people become more mindful. In recent years, meditation has been the subject of controlled clinical research. This suggests it may have beneficial effects, including stress reduction, relaxation, and improvements to quality of life, but that it does not help prevent or cure disease. While MBSR has its roots in spiritual teachings, the program itself is secular.

N.B – as well as the 8 weekly classes this programme also includes an all day retreat (with lunch) on Saturday 9 May 2015. It also includes a 95 page workbook and information book, file and 3 audio tracks for practice.
